Pastor’s Update!

In the name of Jesus Christ, and welcome to July!

We’ve had a great June. Our focus has been on Reaching Out
and we have done just that. We know of 3 people coming to
Jesus in Salvation, and we have baptized one. Not a bad way to
begin the summer.

Statistics show that people are most likely to come to church
when they are invited. People don’t just show up most of the
time. Thank you for taking part in the Great Commission and
inviting folks to worship with us.

We will finish the summer with a series called “Preparing for
the Last Days”. The Last Days is a subject that many people
find interesting. People look to many sources for help in understanding
what is going on in the world and what we can expect
in the future. Most of the time, they just look in the wrong
place.

There are answers for those who want to know and are willing to face the truth. The truth can be
scary, but Jesus said something radical about the truth………

“You will know the truth, and the truth will set you free.” -John 8:32 (CSB)

In “Preparing for the Last Days”, we will share truth with you. Some topics discussed will be:

The Second Coming of Christ

Armageddon

The Renovation of the Earth by fire

The Millennial Kingdom of Christ

The date of your death
I think that we can say for certain that the world as we know it has an expiration date. It will not
come through climate change or man-made disasters but will go through a fiery renovation by God
himself. We can and should prepare.

Make a commitment to come join us. And…….. reach out and invite a friend.

Greetings...

Join us for our current
series!

Pastor’s Update! -Cont’d.

“La Isla” -Monterrey Update

On Thursday, July 1, we received an e-mail from Pastor Omar Corona, our missionary pastor in
Monterrey, Mexico. He sent a request for prayers for the people of Monterrey and La Isla. Hurricane
Alex had crossed paths with that area and dropped several inches of rain causing major flooding.
He wrote that many of the children in La Isla lived next to the river and were at extreme risk
of danger. The roads were closed and the only communication was with a lady by cell phone. She
was told to allow anyone who needed refuge to utilize the house that the mission was renting in
that area.

Pastor Omar and others were able to go into the area on Friday and assess the damage. He sent
word that the children were all fine but that their homes were very near destruction. The team
was preparing to take some groceries to the families in that area.

Joanne was able to speak with Pastor Omar and Marlena this morning. Everyone is fine but are
still asking for our prayers. The rain has continued and is making it very perilous for the people
and property in La Isla.

04.16-18.10 - Women of Joy
Woman's Conference in Louisville, KY.
People everywhere are talking about Jesus. The easter season always comes with conversations about Him. We are bombarded with news articles that raise questions about who He is. There is no end to the speculating as to whether He is a legend or a true historical person. Academia seems to shed light on Him showing that He existed but casts doubt on the miraculous. Is there anyway to know the truth?

Our current series is offered to help. We will present the evidences that attest to His deity humanity and history.

If you want to know the truth about Jesus, this series is for you. Bring your questions and an open mind. Jesus said in Joun 7:17 "Anyone who wants to do His will can test this teaching and know whether it's from God or whether I'm making it up. (Message)

We want you to know.
