David Jeremiah asks in his current book the question,
“What in the World is going on?” I believe that most people in America are asking the same thing.

We serve a God that is very much aware of what is happening right now. Many times we feel like the world is spinning out of control and we don’t know where the stop button is.
Truth is, the world is doing what God predicted it would do. The foreknowledge of God even determined that these things would happen. Our problem is a lack of trust!

Jesus said in Mark 13:7b “do not be troubled, for such things must happen……….”
Jesus was talking about wars and calamities that will happen. And He says for us to not be troubled!
Are you kidding?

That’s like telling someone to not worry about the tornado that’s coming or the hurricane that’s 1 hour away! It is a natural thing for us to get nervous when disaster strikes.

So what did He mean? He meant what He said, do not worry! So how are we going to do that?
The word is simple, TRUST!
Trust is one of two facets of faith, the other being belief. God’s people can trust Him because of what we believe about Him.

He has promised the believer His presence. He has promised the believer His provision. He has promised the believer His protection. Yes, even in the midst of crisis.  That means, since He is ultimately good and loves us with an ultimate love, He being the ultimate power will always bring us through our crisis and cause us to triumph! With God, you simply can’t be an ultimate loser.

So, with an all powerful, all loving, all knowing God leading us, why should we worry?
What in the world is going on? Nothing that our Lord doesn’t already know how to handle!
