New Year, New Decisions

2009 has barely begun and we are seeing a good number of Life Decisions being made.
The Youth Group trip to Gatlinburg saw many decisions with 3 committing to Jesus Christ as Lord.
The Leaders of the group also made decisions to commit to serve as they were challenged to do so by the conference ministers.

Last Sunday, we baptized three Life Decisions and one more was made after the worship service!
People in the church have made Life Decisions to take better care of the overall health!
This involves Spiritual, Physical, Mental, Emotional and Financial. We are seeing them follow through with these decisions and God is truly blessing us!
What is a Life Decision?

Well, it isn’t a decision made recklessly. It is a decision that carries some follow through.
Many people start the New Year with resolutions and seldom follow through. A Life Decision is when you are convinced that an action is right and you repent of opposite actions. A real Life Decision will bring about needed change in your life.
 
Isn’t that the message that we bring weekly? The old hymn says “I have decided to follow Jesus”. Life Decision indeed! When we make that decision, Jesus gives us the Holy Spirit to empower us to do it!
We all know that there have been decisions made and in our weakness, failed to follow through.
We need the power of God to do it! And God says that is exactly what He will do!

What do you need to decide today? God’s word has the answer. God’s Spirit has the power.
God’s church has the encouragement. The only thing that is left to do is for you to make that decision!
